All of the following areas are within an hour of Tucson and
can be reached via car. There are many area guidebooks which are available on-line
or from area retailers.

A highly accessible climbing
spot with more rock than you can imagine. Numerous top-rope, sport, and traditional
climbing routes with both single and multi-pitched choices are available. Route ratings
start at from 5.0 and go to 5.12, with most climbing on granite and gneiss chickenheads,
cracks and edges. |

From the parking area, you
can walk anywhere between 5 minutes and 3 hours. |

| Cochise
Stronghold |
| Description: |
More rock than you can climb
in a lifetime. World-class granite and back country conditions provide mostly
traditional, multi-pitched climbing. However, there is an excellent sport-bolted
area on the west side. Rating run from 5.0 to 5.12 and are a little stiff as there
are many runouts. |

From the parking area, you
can walk anywhere between 10 minutes and 2 hours, with tricky approaches and elevation
changes from 100 to 2000 feet. |
